How to Care For Your Enamel Cast Iron Cookware

We made caring for your cast iron cookware simple. Here, we're breaking down some easy-to-follow steps on how you can take care of your enamel cast iron cookware so that they will last for a lifetime.

Cleaning Your Cookware

  • Remove any gunk or residue by soaking your cookware in warm water for a few minutes.
  • Wash thoroughly with a gentle sponge, mild dishwashing detergent, and warm water.
  • Avoid using steel wool or course scouring pads to remove the gunk.
  • Wipe your cookware dry with a paper towel or a non-abrasive dish cloth.

Using Your Cookware

  • Always exercise caution by gradually heating up the contents on your pan.
  • Handles can get hot while cooking. Always use potholders when handling them and never leave an empty pan on a hot burner.
  • To keep the coating intact and prevent scratches, only use wood, plastic or nylon utensils.
  • Make sure to periodically check the knobs to make sure they're not loose.
  • Our cookware is compatible with gas, induction, oven, ceramic, and electric cooktops. Never use your cookware in the microwave.
